Dec. 24--BURBANK, Calif.--City Manager Robert "Bud" Ovrom, credited for revitalizing Burbank's downtown and transforming the city from an aerospace giant to an entertainment capital, said Monday that he wants to lead Los Angeles' redevelopment effort.
Ovrom, 57, is one of three candidates vying to become head of the Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency. Jerry Scharlin has resigned as the CRA executive director, effective in January, when his successor is expected to be named.
