Dec. 24--Georgia's restaurant industry is set to be among the nation's fastest-growing next year, according to a 2003 forecast.
Georgia ranked first in the southeastern United States, with a projected 6 percent growth rate for revenues projected by the National Restaurant Association last week.
The top region was the mountain states, with an average growth rate of 6.6 percent. The restaurant industry is projected to earn $10.4 billion in Georgia and $426 billion nationwide next year.
