Harold King
SPRINGFIELD - Harold Lloyd King of Springfield died Dec. 17 of emphysema. He was 75.
King was born June 16, 1927, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Raymond and Helen King King.
He moved to this area in 1939 and graduated from Junction City High School. He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the LST-240 in the Panama Canal and Cuba zones. He worked for Georgia Pacific for 42 years before retiring in 1989.
He enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, riding motorcycles and snowmobiling. His family will remember him as a big brother who was always ready to help out in any way.
