Dec. 25--BILOXI, Miss.--An online military magazine has predicted the closing of dozens of military bases nationwide, including three in Mississippi.
It will take years, however, to determine how accurate the predictions might be. The federal base closing commission will not begin work until 2005.
The online magazine, www.G2mil.com, predicted that Naval Station Pascagoula, Naval Air Station Meridian, Miss., and Columbus (Miss.) Air Force Base are prime candidates for closing.
