Dec. 24--Fresno State hired an international management firm Monday to operate the Save Mart Center.

SMG, which is based in Philadelphia and manages 157 arenas and other centers in 33 states, Puerto Rico, Canada and Europe, signed a 10-year contract and will be paid about $300,000 per year, said Deborah Adishian-Astone, Save Mart Center coordinator and executive director of Auxiliary Services at Fresno State.
