TEACHER JOB HUNT MAY GET EASIER; ONLINE DATABASE WILL ALLOW LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO HAVE GREATER POOL OF CANDIDATES.(Local)

A new online database may change how school districts in Madison and Oneida counties find qualified teachers and administrators. It also may change the way job candidates apply for those jobs.

An online education clearinghouse will begin Jan. 15.

Called the Mohawk Valley Region On-Line Application System for Educators, it will speed up the job hunt or search process in a competitive market.

Paul Seversky, deputy superintendent of Madison-Oneida BOCES, said 10 school districts and BOCES have joined the collaborative system. The 10 districts are Camden, Canastota, Cazenovia, Hamilton, Madison, Morrisville-Eaton, Oneida, ...
