Doug Van Meter always said he wanted to go with a fishing pole in his hand, and his wife will make that wish come true by burying the 41-year-old fisherman and father of four with his favorite rod and reel.
"He's taking one last fishing trip," Michelle Van Meter said.
Mr. Van Meter, of Florence, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence after a massive heart attack. He was a printer with Activity Publications in Cincinnati for 22 years.
"He was a real outdoorsman. He loved camping, boating and hiking, but fishing most of all. He loved to fish, all kinds of fish on all kinds of lakes," his wife said. His favorite spot was Dale Hollow ...
