We are writing in response to comments made by Robert Green, published in the November issue of NUTRACEUTICALS WORLD, about our article on the ORAC test method in the September issue. We respectfully disagree with Mr. Green's commentary.
First, the article did not claim that ORAC was the definitive method for measuring antioxidant activity. It did, however, discuss the many advantages of using the ORAC method and the science behind it. One can write a book in response to Mr. Green's issues with the ORAC method, but given limited space, we will briefly address each point specifically.
