The size of your carriage should depend on the size of the goat that is to pull it. The most you should ask a goat to pull is one and a half times the goat's own weight. If your goat is not strong enough to pull a carriage with you in it, long reining from behind the vehicle is a satisfying and challenging way to drive a goat.
