We started selling extra vegetables at small town farmers markets and each year found us growing more. The income was small, probably not even covering expenses.
Opportunity knocked and we joined the farmers market in a large city. The first year was good, the second and third have been fantastic. I'm doing all the picking and weeding; our boys do the tractor work and our daughter does all the washing and packing on Fridays. My husband picked tomatoes and sweet corn in the past but has not yet re-gained full use of his legs after a head-on collision with a drunk driver.
