Sports programming has carved out its own unique niche in the broadcasting community, and with more licensing and marketing opportunities than ever before, the 13th annual SportelMonaco, the international sports television program market, could see a marked rise in attendance this year.
The event, held September 30 October 3 at Monte-Carlo's Grimaldi Forum, focused its attention on a number of pressing matters, including the effects of the dwindling economy on athletic programming and the imminent changes that emerging technologies will bring about for sports broadcasters.
