Dec. 25--Thousand Oaks-based WellPoint Health Networks is distributing temporary discounts for a new over-the-counter Claritin alternative to Blue Cross members who are losing prescription coverage for many of their favorite allergy drugs.
Blue Cross of California, a WellPoint subsidiary, announced this week it will be sending three $10 coupons for Alavert to members who have received prescriptions in the last six months for Claritin, Clarinex, Allegra or Zyrtec.
