ASPEN -- The Dom Perignon will flow and the limos will roll, but for some in Aspen, New Year's Eve serves as a reminder of a tragic slice of town history.
It was Dec. 31 five years ago that the most star-crossed of American political dynasties suffered yet another blow both brutal and senseless.
That's the day Michael Kennedy plowed into a tree on Aspen Mountain, suffering a fatal head injury while playing a game of ski-football in the dying light of the year's last afternoon.
Sheriff Bob Braudis was driving home from work that day, when his pager signaled trouble about 4:15 p.m.
