As expected, President George W. Bush signed the Department of Justice Appropriations Authorization Act which includes a provision allowing wine purchased at a winery to be shipped to another state, if in accordance with the laws of the destination state the buyer could personally carry the wine in. The provision is in effect only during periods in which the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has restrictions on airline passengers to ensure safety.
