PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local PETRO-TECH PERUANA is currently gearing-up to build a new pipeline that will enable taking treated gas from a cryogenic plant back to offshore oil fields for injection. According to Barbara Bruce, PETRO-TECH Deputy Executive Vice-President, construction plans call for building a 20 km-long, 20-inch diameter, pipeline.
The incoming pipeline delivering gas to the project site at Talara is already in place. As a result, an invitation to build the gas delivery pipeline is tentatively scheduled to be issued by the end of January 2003. The project construction time is expected to last between 30 to 45 days.
