Mark Held, whose passion for the outdoors and ``grounded idealism'' converged in his job as an assistant attorney general, died Dec. 17 after a two-year battle with bone cancer. He was 36.
Mr. Held, a 1997 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law, worked in the attorney general's licensing section, handling matters involving hunting outfitters, land mine reclamation, and other cases that involved environmental law.
