Gurnee's fast-food row will welcome its heaviest hitter Sunday morning.
Krispy Kreme - a neighbor to fried chicken, pizza and hamburger restaurants in one new complex - is projected to lure up to 10,000 patrons at its grand opening just east of the Tri-State Tollway and Grand Avenue.
Gurnee can boast having Lake County's second Krispy Kreme doughnut outlet, with others scattered across the Chicago area. Krispy Kreme's first Lake County shop opened in Mundelein in December 2001.
