Schneider Corporation announced that it has reached an agreement with LuAn Mitchell, the second-largest shareholder of Mitchell's Gourmet Foods Inc., to acquire her interest in the company. The transaction, terms of which were not released, will result in Schneider Corporation increasing its ownership position in Mitchell's to 79 per cent of the Saskatoon-based company.
Mitchell's Gourmet Foods is one of Canada's leading food processors, serving more that 8,000 wholesale and retail customers under the brand names of Mitchell's Gourmet Foods, Olympic Fine Meats and hundreds of private label product lines.
