Jan. 4--Cementhai Building Products Co, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Siam Cement Group, and Lafarge Roofing, a subsidiary of the Lafarge Group of France, have formed a joint venture to make clay roof tiles for the Thai market.
Seventy-five percent of Lafarge Siam Roofing Co's capital is owned by Lafarge Roofing and 25 percent by Cementhai Building Products.
The new firm would establish its factory by purchasing an idle plant from a local bank, the company said in a statement to the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
