Jan. 6--VIPS SUPPORT NWA ALLIANCE: Northwest Airlines continues to win support for its proposed three-way alliance with Delta and Continental airlines.
The New York Times last week came out with an editorial backing the alliance.
Regulators, the Times said, should move quickly to allow Delta to join Continental and Northwest in their existing alliance, "which has benefited consumers without suppressing competition."
