The United Hospital Fund recently announced 34 grants, totaling $1.5 million, to support innovative programs to improve health care services in New York City. The grants include support for three Community Palliative Care Networks to meet the complex needs of individuals with progressive, life-threatening illnesses. Two other grants, awarded through the Fund's Special Recovery Initiative, will support post-September 11 health projects. The grants are part of more than $6 million distributed annually by the Fund to support promising new ideas and projects to improve health care for all New Yorkers.
