According to "Daily Times", the newly announced Punjab government policy of free education up to the matriculation level is expected to attract more than 3 million children from poor families, according to a report prepared by the Education Department. The report recommends exemptions begin this April. It is hoped that the policy will increase enrolment and decrease the dropout rate.
