Jan. 7--Caught in financial turbulence, Midwest Airlines is turning to Milwaukee County officials for help after not finding support from state government.
Officials from the Oak Creek-based airline are scheduled to meet with the county administration later this week to discuss their options, said Carol Skornicka, company senior vice president and general counsel.
The airline will not ask for a cash bailout or loan, but it may seek other types of assistance to get through hard times that are forcing the layoff of another 66 employees, ...
