Jan. 8--Amarin Plaza Plc, the operator of the two Sogo department stores, plans to invest more than 200 million baht in a facelift of its Sogo Erawan store, as part of its bid to capitalise on the government's plan to develop the adjacent Sogo Amarin store into the Thailand Fashion Centre.
According to Vitoon Wongkusolkit, chairman of the management committee of Amarin Plaza, the focus of the renovation plan of Sogo Erawan, which is adjacent to the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, would be to develop shopping outlets selling products with leading brands, along with a conference room.
