Tony Cornish is unconventional: He's apparently the first Department of Natural Resources conservation officer elected to the Minnesota Legislature - but he also has publicly criticized DNR management over the years as head of the conservation officer's union.
Cornish, 51, who grew up and lives south of Mankato, brings a unique perspective to the Legislature: He was a conservation officer for 22 years and is one of the few avid hunters, anglers and trappers in the Legislature.
