Jan. 8--The Barnes & Noble University Bookstore on the UND campus soon will discontinue selling shot glasses emblazoned with the school's Fighting Sioux logo and tone down other displays with the controversial images, according to officials with its corporate headquarters.
Local store managers could not comment on the move, but a company spokesman in New York confirmed that its Grand Forks affiliate has been instructed to sell all remaining shot glasses and not to reorder new ones. Other merchandise with the imagery, such as T-shirts, sweatshirts and caps, will be ...
