Jan. 9--The Atlanta company that last year bought CommuniTech.Net, a Kansas City Web hosting firm, will close the local offices and take 60 jobs out of the area.
Carey Parker, a spokeswoman for Interland Inc., said the company had decided to consolidate the Kansas City operations into other locations around the country. Interland, which is publicly traded, has data centers in Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles.
The Kansas City closing will take several months, Parker said, but CommuniTech's downtown offices should be completely shut down by the middle of the year. ...
