2003 JAN 15 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The prevalence of peanut allergy in children appears to be rising, according to a new study.
Over the last decade, there have been mounting concerns over the prevalence of peanut allergy. It is a common and potentially deadly form of food allergy. Although there is a general consensus that allergic disorders are increasing in prevalence, it was not known whether the prevalence of allergy to peanut was increasing.
In order to determine if there was an increasing prevalence, researchers from the David Hide Asthma and Allergy Research Centre in the Isle of Wight, United Kingdom, tested 1273 children born between ...
