PHOENIX -- PHOENIX, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Banner Health System today announced the successful sale of $325 million of hospital revenue bonds to fund the massive on-going expansion of Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix and the construction of a new hospital in the West Valley. The bonds have an underlying rating of Aa3 with Moody's Investors Service and AA- with Standard & Poor's and Fitch Ratings.

Among other things, the $325 million bond sale, completed Dec. 12, will contribute $155 million towards the construction of Banner Estrella Medical Center, a new 164-bed hospital to be constructed on 50 acres on the southeast corner of the Loop 101 ...
