Jan. 10--PROVIDENCE, R.I.--At a time when much of the country has been losing jobs, Rhode Island managed to add some, ranking 6th out of 50 states in terms of employment growth, a government survey shows.
Rhode Island's job growth during the 12 months from November 2001 to November 2002 surpassed every other New England state -- and stands in sharp contrast to Massachusetts, which ranks 46th, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics.
