ABSTRACT
Cecil D. Andrus Wildlife Management Area is located in northern Washington County, Idaho, and managed by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. The authors conducted field surveys for butterflies during 1997 and 1998. Seventy-seven species of butterflies were observed within the boundaries of the WMA and along East Brownlee Creek immediately outside the eastern boundary of the WMA. Seventy-seven species represents nearly half of the 168 recognized species of butterflies in the state of Idaho.
