NEW YORK-Retailers seeking first-time rug buyers will want to consider what is in the middle of their rugs.
While the center medallion, the decorative focal point of many traditional rugs, is an enduring motif, allover designs in either traditional, transitional or contemporary styles, such as those that will be shown next month in Atlanta, are easier to decorate with and represent a popular choice for consumers putting together an apartment or a home for the first time.
