GENERAL MILLS FOUNDATION AWARDS $3.1 MILLION IN GRANTS
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The General Mills Foundation awarded $3,150,718 during its second fiscal quarter to 159 nonprofit organizations for a variety of services to the community. Health and social action organizations received $2,073,318; arts and cultural nonprofits received $422,500; and organizations with education programs received $544,400.
The majority of the grants benefit families, children and youth. They include:
-- $150,000 over three years to the Minnesota Zoo Foundation for the expansion and renovation of ZooLab, the Zoo's hand's-on education facility;
