SAN JOSE, Calif. and RICHARDSON, Texas -- SAN JOSE, Calif. and RICHARDSON, Texas, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) has completed a set of seven powerful ASICs for Chiaro Networks(TM) that formed the engine for the industry's first infrastructure class Routing Platform, the two companies announced today. The Enstara(TM) routing system is currently being deployed in high-performance networks.
FMA's new, high-performance ASICs range from more than 300,000 gates to 8.8 million gates and incorporate very high-speed interfaces from 622 Megabits/second to 2.5 Gigabits/second. One typical device delivers 28 channels of 1.25 ...
