Jan. 11--The economic impact of Rockwell Collins' efforts in information technology have won the company statewide recognition in the state's new Powered by Iowa Technology Awards.
Lt. Gov. Sally Pederson presented the award to Rockwell Collins on Thursday night, saying it has the largest technical work force in Iowa.
That work force includes more than 3,000 engineers, scientists and information technology workers.
"Those engineers have had more than 500 patents issued, and are some of the brightest people you'll meet," Pederson said.
