Guy Davis is an actor, playwright, director and writer, but, at heart, he's a loner.
"At my essence, I'm a solo performer," Davis said in an interview with Blues Revue magazine. "I need that attention."
Touring in support of his latest album, "Give in Kind," Davis will be in Eugene on Thursday for an 8 p.m. performance at Cafe Paradiso, 115 W. Broadway.
A soloist in the truest sense of the word, the 50-year-old singer plays six- and 12-string guitar, banjo, blues harp and washboard; he even takes a turn on the digeridoo on his new record. "Give in Kind" is Davis' fifth album.
