AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT ACCUSED OF 'SERIOUS ERROR' OVER SUGAR IMPORTS

WASHINGTON, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- A representative of the domestic sweetener industry said today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) "made a serious error" in announcing an increase of 417,000 short tons of sugar that will be permitted to be imported into the United States during this marketing year.
