Budapest. January 14. INTERFAX-EUROPE - GENERALI-PROVIDENCIA INSURANCE RECORDS 20% INCREASE IN PREMIUM FEES. According to preliminary figures, Generali-Providencia Insurance recorded premium fee revenues of HUF 86 billion (USD 358 million) in 2002, 20% higher than in the previous year. Of this, life insurance revenues totaled HUF 28 billion. Generali's life insurance business was hurt by the launch of the insurance subsidiaries of the Hungarian Post, previously a sales partner of Generali.
