WHAT makes an engine 'British' - the location of the factory, or the nationality of the design team?
Cars with engines designed and made in the UK include: Bentley (Arnage, Continental and Azure), made in Crewe; Land Rover ( Freelander petrol engines, all Discovery, all Defender), made in Birmingham; and MG Rover (all models except Diesel 75), also made in Birmingham.
All models of the Lotus are made in Norfolk; most diesel models of Ford are made in Dunton, Essex; all models of TVR are made in Birmingham and Blackpool; and all Jaguar V8s are made in Bridgend, South Wales. ...
