Red Hat, Inc. (Nasdaq:RHAT), Raleigh, N.C., open source and Linux provider, has introduced new releases of Red Hat Linux for IBM's iSeries, pSeries, and zSeries enterprise server platforms.
The new releases, Red Hat Linux 7.1 for iSeries (64 bit) and Red Hat Linux 7.1 for pSeries (64 bit), now include extended support for 32-bit applications running within a 64-bit native environment. Red Hat Linux 7.1 for zSeries continues support for both 64-bit and 31-bit applications.
Additional hardware platforms have been added to those models supported by Red Hat Linux as follows:
