Six attorneys, including managing partner Richard Knoth, left the Cleveland office of Arter & Hadden LLP this month to establish the local office of Columbus-based Bricker & Eckler LLP - defections that are the latest in a series that has depleted the attorney ranks of the 160-year-old firm by 40% in less than 30 months.
George Gore, a 35-year Arter & Hadden veteran, has replaced Mr. Knoth as the firm's Cleveland managing partner. In light of the wave of departures, Mr. Gore, 63, said he has vowed to stress integrity, loyalty and stability with existing employees and new hires.
