Jan. 16--War in Iraq will be the key influence on the performance of the national economy this year, Wells Fargo Bank's chief economist told a Grand Forks audience Wednesday.
Sung Won Sohn, commonly called "Dr. Sohn," was in town for a few hours to speak at Marketplace of Ideas.
He predicted there would be a war and it would result in a swift American victory, followed by a drop in oil prices and a revived economy. But, he said, if war drags on, it would put the United States in a deep recession.
