Jan. 16--The "Coming Soon" sign soon will be coming down at the newly refurbished Marriott Ventura Beach Hotel, one of three major seaside hotel renovations this year that Ventura officials hope will boost the city's convention business.
Formerly part of the Clarion hotel chain, the Marriott name change at the 286-room Harbor Boulevard complex becomes official at the end of this month.
A new hotel sign was hoisted into place Wednesday.
