Covington has sent a final warning letter to five of the six remaining massage businesses in the city, alerting them that enforcement of its new standards for such businesses will start next week.
So far, only one establishment -- Reverie Therapeutics of 520 Main St. -- has obtained the new license the city is requiring, said City Attorney Jay Fossett.
"Next week we start enforcement," said Fossett, who sent out the letters Wednesday. Violating the city's new standards is a Class B misdemeanor; violators face a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and a $250 fine.
