Jan. 19--Finally, Los Angeles is back near the top of the real estate world.
The city that features world-class beaches, weather, movie stars and kooks is now getting favored-city status from wealthy international investors, says a survey released last week by the New York-based Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate.
Los Angeles ranked third in the 2002 AFIRE survey.
It's a rare accolade.
