In a caregiver support group for the elderly people, group members were discussing stressful caregiving situations. Mr. Smith began talking about how he sometimes became frustrated with his wife, a victim of Alzheimer's disease. "When you say you're frustrated, what do you mean exactly?" the facilitator asked him. "Well," he answered, "I guess I mean I have to do things I would rather not have to do." "Such as what?" the facilitator probed. "Well, sometimes she won't get undressed, just real stubborn she is.
