After several months of negotiation, the East Dundee Village Board recently approved an intergovernmental agreement with West Dundee to expand and share East Dundee's Elgin Avenue sewage treatment plant.
The board approved the agreement 6-0 at its meeting last week.
West Dundee's village board approved the agreement last summer, said West Dundee's Village Manager Joe Cavallaro.
The agreement was initiated by West Dundee officials who approached East Dundee about the possibility of expanding the plant. West Dundee does not have a sewage treatment plant and has contracted treatment ...
