SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 2003
The San Diego Padres and PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc., a San Diego based nation-wide retailer of pet supplies founded in San Diego in 1965, today announced a long- term sponsorship agreement that includes naming rights to San Diego's new downtown Ballpark. The Ballpark, which will be completed for Opening Day in April 2004, will be called PETCO Park.
The announcement was made by Padres Chairman John Moores, PETCO Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Brian Devine, and other Padres and PETCO executives. They were joined by "Eddie" the dog from the television show ...
