Jan. 23--CONCORD, N.H.--The Better Business Bureau wants the public to know filing consumer complaints with it and other agencies for free, and people should beware of companies offering to file such complaints for a fee.
The Council of Better Business Bureaus, based nationally in Arlington, Va., has issued a warning to the public about a specific Web site, www.ConsumerProtectionAgency.com, which offers to file consumer complaints to several agencies, including the Better Business Bureau, for a fee of $4.95 per complaint.
