The Australian Privacy Commissioner, Malcolm Crompton, has welcomed the release of a draft health privacy code. Crompton says that the National Health Privacy Code, received from the Australian Health Minister's Advisory Council will produce many benefits by establishing a single national standard. He says it will eliminate confusion, deliver better outcomes, and avoid overlapping and complex legislation.
